There is a growing demand across a range of industries and professional disciplines for effective data representation and communication. Data visualisation and the use of infographics are becoming increasingly popular methods communication and are being used more widely in a professional context.

Unfortunately there is also a great deal of confusion and misunderstanding about what is effective data storytelling.

Over the last few years, Graphic have been carrying out data visualisation projects for clients in a wide range of industry verticals and now offer bespoke training courses for professional groups interested in developing and improving their own data storytelling capabilities.

These are tailored courses are developed to respond to specific data and audience requirements which can be run for groups of ten attendees or more.

We are not currently hiring for any permanent roles.

However, we are always on the look out for freelancers - most commonly designers.

We're most often looking for mid-weight designers with information design or data vis skills, both static and interactive. Designers with UX and UI experience are also very useful. Having experience of both is a distinct advantage.

We also frequently take on freelance Front End Developers. Again information design and interactive data visualisation experience is helpful, particularly with D3, but we're often working on more standard CMS content builds too. Experience with libraries like jQuery, AngularJS, Modernizr, underscore and Bootstrap would be helpful.

We do have freelance Back End Developers and Producers - it's less often that we take new ones on, but always useful to hear from people.

There's an in-joke at the agency that once you've started as a freelance, you never leave, and we have an enviable reputation for converting freelancers to full time staff, because they love working here so much. We're generally looking for smart, enthusiastic, independent thinking people. Our usual plan is to hire awesome people and do everything we can to help them do awesome things.
